Community guidelines

Last written 19 October 2026

Teleplay is for people from 13 up, and every public game can be played by anyone. These guidelines say what games and everything else you put into Teleplay may and may not contain. They are part of the terms of use.

Fit for everyone

A public game should be fit for all ages, in the spirit of a film rated G: cartoon action, monsters, falls and scores are fine; gore, cruelty for its own sake, sexual content and strong language are not.

Not allowed

  • Sexual content or nudity of any kind, and anything sexual involving minors above all, which we report to the authorities where the law requires.
  • Hate: putting people down for their race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexuality, disability or any other part of who they are.
  • Real people: no real person in a game, by name or likeness, and no game about hurting real people or turning a real tragedy or attack into play.
  • Self-harm turned into play.
  • Characters, brands and other work you don't have the right to use, such as famous game, film or cartoon characters and logos.
  • Harassment, threats or bullying of anyone, in a game, its title or a public name.
  • Personal information: nobody's address, phone number, email or anything else that identifies them, yours included.
  • Anything illegal, deceptive or harmful: scams, copies of other sites, malware, or games that try to get around Teleplay's checks.

Some of these are checked when a game is asked for: a request for sexual content, for hurting real people, for hate or for self-harm is refused before anything is built. The rest are acted on when someone reports them or the team sees them.

Reporting

If you see a game or a public name that breaks these guidelines, write to info@teleplay.ai with the game's address and what is wrong. If it is about your own work or likeness, say so. We look at every report and tell you what we decided.

What we do

  • Hide a game from Discover, or take it down so that nobody can play it.
  • Clear a public name that breaks these guidelines.
  • Suspend or close an account, for serious or repeated breaches.

When we do any of these, we tell the account's owner by email what we did and why: which rule, and what the decision rests on. We don't when the law or someone's safety stops us.

Asking us to look again

If you think we got it wrong, reply to that email or write to info@teleplay.ai within six months, saying why. A person on the team looks at it again, never a program alone, and we answer within 14 days. If we were wrong, we put things back as they were.
